lovely to meet you

storytelling matters to me…

I believe in the power of storytelling to shine a light and make a difference. It's been my job to reveal, hold accountable, and help inspire; to find the stories that matter and to help make where we live an even better place. In my career in journalism, I have been honored with three Emmy Awards.

I’m often asked why I embarked on this path. Like so many people, my family has been profoundly touched by autism. At a very early age, I remember hearing that journalism, at its best, can give a "voice to the voiceless." It resonated deeply with me, and it's still what drives me today. I do what I do every day with my little brother in my heart.

I am the daughter of physicians, both immigrants. They devote their lives to the goal of using science to help people. Their work instilled in me a passion for covering health, science and technology. I received my Master’s from Johns Hopkins in Biotechnology, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship, and was awarded with the distinction of Outstanding Graduate.

Before that, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. I received a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a B.S. in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention.

I am currently a news anchor and investigative correspondent at NewsNation, the country’s fastest growing cable news network.

Previously, I was honored to be a JSK Journalism Fellow at Stanford. I came to the fellowship from being the morning anchor for ABC7 in San Francisco.

When I'm not working, I love spending quality time with friends and family and, of course, my little dog Tchaikovsky. I'm also passionate about getting working in the community. I've had the honor of working with the March of Dimes and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as well as the Special Olympics in Northern California.

It makes my day to break through that screen and hear from you. I'm always on social media, so please keep in touch and follow me on Facebook and Instagram.

You can see my latest writing on Medium. And the best way to keep in touch is here.

I look forward to hearing from you!
